Nitrogen  is a simple substance formed of nitrogen, the chemical formula N2. Under normal temperature and pressure, it is a colorless and odorless gas, which can react with hydrogen to produce ammonia gas only under high temperature and pressure and catalyst conditions, and can combine with oxygen to produce nitric oxide under discharge.
